More transport issues..
The latest news is that the MRT network will be doubled by 2020, with more than 100 stations in all, and with 2 new lines - the Thomson Line & Eastern Region Line.. Plus, the addition of more trains to the NS, EW and NE lines to ease crowds and human traffic, increasing the frequency of trains (i wonder if its peak or off-peak). Sounds promising indeed, since MRT has always been more reliable than buses, being less dependant on factors such as road traffic.
Plus more good news - bringing forward of the opening of the Circle Line and Downtown Line. Well, I don't think the Circle Line is going to make a difference to travel to NUS for me since it opens mid-2009, but it'll definitely be so much more convenient heading to destinations in the west, and on the north line..
On a side note, this week brought along 2 pieces of good news - that I've managed to pass my Paeds and O&G postings.. USA is still a distance away, with 2 major hurdles - the first already appearing in 3 days time. Prayers much appreciated.. Good luck everyone!
