Hhmmm. The past few days of festive celebrations have been worryingly slack. Oh dear. Need to pick up the pace. Am behind time now. =(

On another side note, i've been watching quite a bit of TV at relatives' houses, and the most impressionable advertisement during this festive season has to be that of the DBS advert.

Framed upon 3 short stories revolving around the lives of 3 very different characters, the 3 stories are told from varying perspectives of the different family members - shot in different adverts revolving aound the same theme.

The first, of a playful young boy - son of a taxi driver - who grows up eventually to be a commercial airline pilot; the 2nd tells of a young boy, who chases his dream in modern dance, with the support of his mother; and the 3rd tells of an up and coming fashion designer who, with the help of her teacher, brings the traditional cheongsam to new heights.

It then ends with the air stewardess' voice over the aeroplane intercom upon arrival at Changi Airport, saying, "Welcome to Singapore... To Singapore citizens, welcome home." (or something along those lines)

With all 3 stories wrapped around the central theme of home and family, with the promotion of DBS bank rather subtly slotted in, I thought it was pretty well done and classy.. Apt for the CNY period. Mmmm.. I'm a sucker for such "heart-warming" adverts..
